The Stephenson Cancer Center is launching a one-day program for rising Oklahoma high school juniors and seniors to learn about careers in cancer research and medicine on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 9 am-5 pm. The CURE Jr. Program will allow these students to hear presentations from scientists working in basic, translational, and clinical cancer research programs at the Stephenson Cancer Center.
CURE Jr. is a spin-off from the already existing CURE (Cancer Undergraduate Research Experience) program, an eight-week summer research program open to college juniors and seniors. Entering its ninth year, the CURE Program provides students experience working on nationally funded research projects under the mentorship of senior faculty leaders.
