Radiation Therapy


The Radiation Therapy Center at the Stephenson Cancer Center is unmatched in the state. Leading experts provide research-based treatment to cancer patients. The center offers a complete range of treatment options including Proton Therapy, Gamma Knife, and image-guided radiotherapy. 

With the most advanced options available, patients don't need to leave the state to receive the best care possible. 

What is Radiation Therapy?

Radiation therapy uses high-doses of radiation to kill cancer cells. It can be given before, after, or during surgery or chemotherapy. More than half of people with cancer get radiation therapy.

Supportive Care

The mission of the Supportive Care Program at the Stephenson Cancer Center is to restore and maintain the quality of life for people living with cancer and their families through the interdisciplinary delivery of expert symptom management, palliative care, health promotion and prevention interventions for the person diagnosed with cancer.
