Scientists at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation have developed an experimental treatment for glioblastoma, a deadly form of brain cancer. Beginning this month, the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma will be conducting a clinical trial to test the novel therapy in eligible patients who suffer from the disease.

The Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce the recruitment of Takemi Tanaka, Ph.D. Tanaka’s work focuses on the development of new and personalized therapeutic approaches for the prevention and treatment breast and other cancers. She will be appointed an Oklahoma TSET Cancer Research Scholar in recognition of the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust’s efforts to reduce the burden of cancer in the state by supporting innovative research.
