A National Cancer Institute trial conducted through the Gynecologic Oncology Group points to an effective way to improve outcomes for women with advanced ovarian cancer. Researchers at the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center enrolled more patients in this pivotal trial than any other site in the world. Robert Mannel, MD, director of the Stephenson Cancer Center and a gynecologic oncologist, is a co-author of the landmark manuscript appearing in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The Stephenson Cancer Center welcomes new Oklahoma TSET Research Scholar and clinical psychologist Ted Wagener, PhD. Wagener comes to Oklahoma from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where he completed his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in behavioral medicine from Oklahoma State University.
