To grow research and improve the lives of Oklahomans fighting cancer, the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center has been awarded a competitive renewal of a $10.7 million federal grant. The five-year grant will strengthen translational research, particularly in the area of treatment-resistant cancers, across the OU Health Sciences Center, the academic partner of OU Medicine.

Daniel C. Parker, M.D., a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist, has established his medical practice with the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Parker is the first graduate from the Stephenson Cancer Center’s new urologic oncology fellowship program, accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology.
