Psycho-oncology Clinic

 

Diagnosis, treatment, and lifestyle changes related to cancer can be difficult emotionally as well as physically. The Psycho-Oncology Clinic, part of the Supportive Care Program, offers one-on-one counseling to cancer patients and survivors at any stage. Trained counselors and psychologists help develop coping skills and strategies to deal with a wide range of emotions and feelings. 

Individual or group counseling can help with a wide range of feelings and emotions related to cancer treatment, including:

Anxiety
Denial
Depression
Loneliness

Supportive Care

The mission of the Supportive Care Program at the Stephenson Cancer Center is to restore and maintain the quality of life for people living with cancer and their families through the interdisciplinary delivery of expert symptom management, palliative care, health promotion and prevention interventions for the person diagnosed with cancer.
