The Stephenson Cancer Center will host a public screening of "Someone You Love," a documentary on the HPV epidemic, on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists include representatives from pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and gynecologic oncology.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, HPV is thought to be responsible for more than 90 percent of all cervical cancers.
All are welcome to attend, including parents or guardians, teachers, school administrators, interested community members, and the healthcare community. Free continuing education credits available for medical professionals.
The screening will be held on the fifth floor of the Stephenson Cancer Center, located at 800 NE 10th St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73104. Registration opens at 5 pm, and the film will begin at 5:30 pm.
